MTV today announced the upcoming launch of the local new digital platform, MTV Style. From the coolest new trends, the hottest designer collaborations, ‘get the look’ guides and more – MTV Style is pop style at your fingertips with an exclusive backstage pass to the wardrobes of Hollywood’s freshest new talent.
2014 has been a record-breaking year for mtv.com.au with the site achieving a 74% increase from the 2013 monthly unique visitor performance. Celebrity style and fashion stories have proven to generate some of the highest traffic on the site, which can be contributed to the insatiable appetite MTV audiences have for fashion, music, celebrity and pop culture.
MTV Style will be managed by MTV’s digital editor, Leni Andronicos, with an editorial team of commentators and contributors covering all aspects of fashion and style content.
We are proud to announce Sydney model and blogger, Mimi Elashiry, as the MTV Style ambassador. Commonly referred to as a ‘social media supermodel’, Mimi has a social following boasting over half a million and growing. In addition to her online presence, Mimi has the outgoing personality and eccentric style to inspire and motivate her followers, which makes her a perfect fit as the MTV Style ambassador. Over the coming months, Mimi will be the guest editor, posting regularly on the MTV Style blog, filming exclusive video content, as well as attending and covering all the latest fashion and music events.
MTV VJ and model, Kate Peck, will be the resident fashionista on MTV Style. Kate’s extensive fashion experience and celebrity connections within the industry, makes her another great fit for the site. Kate will keep audiences hooked with a behind-the-scenes exclusive look into her busy life as an MTV VJ, as well as providing interviews with the latest style icons and celebrities and offering expert fashion advice.
