First Dog takes to the stage

Walkley Award winning cartoonist and self-proclaimed National Treasure, First Dog on the Moon (aka Andrew Marlton), has engaged eckfactor to publicise his one-person show Cartoobs and other typos at the upcoming Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festivals.
Cartoobs and other typos won the Tour Ready Award at the 2012 Melbourne Fringe Festival. The prize was an invitation to Adelaide Fringe; First Dog will appear on three evenings only on February 22, 23 and 24.
First Dog will then return home to Melbourne to perform Cartoobs from March 28 to April 21 as part of the Melbourne Comedy Festival in the straight-after-work-need-a-laugh 6pm slot at the Victoria Hotel in Little Collins Street.
An hilarious and whimsical journey through the mind of one Australia’s leading political cartoonists, Cartoobs inducts audiences into the mysteries of cartooning, battling a daily deadline and having the voices of hundreds of marsupials inside your head. Audiences may or may not even meet the ABC Interpretive Dance Bandicoot.
Song, dance, colouring-in and pretending to know what you are doing while being adorable all feature in this crisp satirical descent into despair and back out again whew that was close.
