There’ll be no more tashin’ on, getting mortal or bucking for Vicky Pattison in the Geordie Shore house as MTV today announced she will sadly be leaving the show for good.
Vicky has made the difficult decision to leave after nine series’ of the ratings smash hit show, with the self-proclaimed matriarch of the house set to be missed by viewers and cast members alike. As one of the original house mates in Geordie Shore, Vicky is adored by reality fans across the globe for her direct approach, habitual partying and of course her cracking one liners such as: “Absence does not make the heart grow fonder, absence makes the heart grow slightly slaggy”.
Speaking about her departure, Vicky said: “The rumours are true, it’s the right time for me to leave Geordie Shore, the show hasn’t grown up and I have.” Vicky continued “I know a lot of the people in the house are gonna be quite content to sort of be 40 years old and still downing jaegerbombs and bucking birds, but for me that was just never an option.”
Vicky said she had some real high points in the house including the travelling, especially to Australia where she met Dan and frequenting the various penis museums over the world. The party-loving Newcastle lass once believed she’d found true love on Geordie Shore after her very public engagement to co-star and ex fiancée Ricci Guarnaccio, but this turned out to be her low point in the show as it ended in tears after a series of tumultuous rows which resulted in a painful break up. Bouncing back from this, Vicky embarked on a rigorous exercise and dieting regime which resulted in her losing a huge amount of weight before series eight and led her into the arms of Aaron, Kyle and surprisingly, Gaz.
In series nine the power quite literally goes to Vicky’s head as an official Lady title has been bestowed upon her and she’s crowned Queen by Anna, who formally anoints her as deputy. And you don’t want to get on the wrong side of the fiery Geordie who freely admits “I’ve never been one to mask my opinion or hide exactly how I feel.” Tune in tonight at 8.30pm for episode one of this delectable new series, which is set to be an absolute blinder!
Geordie Shore continues to be a ratings smash for MTV. With their sometimes controversial but humorous behaviour, leaving a trail of destruction and hilarity wherever they go, the Geordies have acquired a wealth of celebrity fans including Robert Pattinson, Cheryl Cole, and Miley Cyrus who have all declared their love for the show.
Furthermore, Geordie Shore fans across the globe can delight in the knowledge that the show is set to return for a tenth series. Join the rest of the cast who will still be gan dan the toon and returning to the Geordie Shore house next year. Whey aye man!
