Mixels Animated Shorts Premiere Monday 17 February on Cartoon Network
Mixels animated shorts, part of the groundbreaking new global franchise by the powerhouse partnership of Cartoon network and The LEGO Group, will premiere on Monday 17 February at 5.25pm on Cartoon Network.
Mixels is a world of colorful and mischievous creatures that live in tribes of three and can mix and combine with each other, leading to hilarious and surprising results. The 1-2 minute animated shorts created by John Fang (Generation Rex, Ben 10) and Dave Smith (The Powerpuff Girls) will feature any number of characters on a series of adventures where they will “mix” (two characters combine), “max” (all three members of the tribe combine) or “murp” (when the combo just doesn’t quite fit).
A true multi-platform brand, the shorts will be joined by Mixels.com, a visually-rich and engaging website that allows kids to watch shorts online and interact with the brand by exploring the Mixels environment, meeting characters and playing exclusive mini-games unlocked by creating successful mixes; Calling All Mixels App, an addictive mixture of exploration, combat, and strategy that allows kids to find lost Mixels, discover new lands and create amazing mixes; and LEGO® Mixels building sets, buildable toys that leverage the versatility and creativity of the LEGO building system allowing kids to further immerse themselves in the Mixels world by recreating the mix, max and murp fun.
LEGO Mixels recognises that kids’ media consumption is rapidly changing and this unprecedented collaboration and launch of Mixels continues Cartoon Network’s evolution of the development and distribution of content and IP creation.
The show unites world-class animators, game developers and product designers from the onset as well as launching the property on multiple platforms and formats with The LEGO Group to enable kids to have a fully integrated and rich experience from the very start of this exciting new franchise.
Mixels will screen Mondays at 5.25pm from 17 February until 31 March on Cartoon Network during the Funday Monday block.
