CARTOON NETWORK TOON MACHINE LETS KIDS TAKE CONTROL OF MUM & DAD

NEW TAKE ON CLASSIC ARCADE GAME WILL PROVIDE FAMILY FUN THESE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

Cartoon Network Toon Machine, an interactive indoor mega structure, is set to make its Asia Pacific debut in Australia putting kids firmly in control … of their parents.
This huge contraption is a modern twist on the classic “claw crane” arcade game familiar to generations of kids, and is available at Melbourne’s Chadstone Shopping Centre for families to experience during the upcoming school holidays from 1pm on Tuesday 30 September until Sunday 5 October.
The impressive Cartoon Network Toon Machine stands at more than six metres high and six metres wide. Parents will be safely harnessed and suspended in the air above a mountain of presents. Their child will then control a giant claw by using a joystick in the hopes of grabbing one of the many prizes on offer.
Toon Machine is a hands-on opportunity for empowered kids to engage, connect and interact with the Cartoon Network brand, with the event providing endless fun and entertainment.  Kids will hang out with adored Cartoon Network characters and catch up on their favourite episodes and games using the Cartoon Network Watch and Play app.  The event also serves as a platform to launch Cartoon Network’s brand new original comedy series Clarence before its official on-channel premiere on October 6.
“Nothing like this has ever been seen before in Australia. Cartoon Network Toon Machine offers an experience like no other – set to entertain the whole family during the school holidays,” said Robi Stanton, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Turner International Asia Pacific. “Above all, we know that kids will love turning the tables and being in complete control of their parents.”
“Cartoon Network is synonymous with fun – having fun, being fun and promoting fun – and we have provided our loyal fans with an exclusive place to do just that,” said Stanton. “Australian-made and constructed to the highest safety standards, Toon Machine will be a truly unforgettable experience that Cartoon Network is incredibly excited to offer.”
More information about Cartoon Network Toon Machine and the event will be posted on CartoonNetwork.com.au. The concept debuted last year in Brazil and a video showing the machine in action is available here: http://youtu.be/XnhktDmExoo.
