BACKGROUND:
The stars of Discovery Channel’s most popular series, American Chopper, came to Australia to film three episodes with Russell Crowe. eckfactor staged a media conference on the rooftop of the Park Hyatt Hotel overlooking Sydney Harbour to highlight their visit and promote the Australian episodes. The conference was sponsored by Discovery Channel and Tourism Australia.
ECKFACTOR RESULTS:
More than 60 journalists and the Federal Minister for Tourism attended the media conference.
Television coverage appeared on free to air Channels 7 and 10, Sky TV New Zealand and Reuters TV. Metropolitan daily newspapers covered the event including The Australian, Sydney Morning Herald and The Daily Telegraph as well as special interest motorbike publications Live to Ride, OzBikes and Heavy Duty Magazine.

When the American Chopper: Australia episodes were broadcast, eckfactor secured the cover of the top-circulating FOXTEL magazine as well as arranging radio interviews with the main characters in the series.
American Chopper: Australia delivered exceptionally strong subscription television ratings including securing the number one ranked position on each screening day for Discovery Channel’s core men aged 25-54 demographic. The first two episodes of American Chopper: Australia were the most watched programs on subscription television nationally for their respective days.
